Veni, Vedi, Marvelous

The die is cast and the Marvelous Garden inches toward perfection.

Behold, the new vegetable garden, last year this area was nothing but cedar trees, vines , and pricker bushes.

Here is the glorious rhododendron, which I freed from the many trees and vines that were slowly enveloping it.

Marvelousness. The First Year

The first growing season at the Marvelous Garden 2.0 has come to a close and the early indications of the marvelousness that awaits in the coming years are already plentiful.

The always glorious hanging baskets with Torenias illuminate the side entrance.

The formerly lackluster garden near the side entrance has been enhanced with an amazing hydrangea and astible from 1.0.

Various scions from 1.0 grow strong in the nursery area awaiting their addition to this glorious landscape.

A look back toward the serene side entrance.

What better proof that the gods favor the Marvelous Garden than this photo showing the light of the heavens raining down through the firmament unto its many glorious plants?

The front walkway's gloriousness in its nascent stages.

A look from one of the front gardens to the stately front entranceway.

Plants not worth of the glory of this garden have been replaced with worth specimens.

Another fine transplant from 1.0, the varigated hydrangea.

A glorious entryway.

Another view of the front walkway.

Some new additions, as well as a few more scions awaiting their future.

This new varigated climbing hydrangea will glorify the front stone wall.

So much marvelousness awaits.

Some lesser fool misplaced these black eyed Susan's in this spot. In time I will move them. To a better spot.

A mighty offspring of the Titan himself.

This area is now fully cleared. The worl awaits to see what will happen next.

The Marvelous Garden Wasn't Built In a Day

Marvelous Garden 2.0 is in its nascent stage. Like Augustus with Rome, I have found an overgrown yard but will leave behind a garden of marvelousness.

My back yard is quite overgrown, and most of my early efforts have been devoted to Paul Bunyan-like tree felling. At last, I have largely cleared one side, as seen below.

Where before there were 5 or 6 cedar trees and numerous weeds and vines, now there is a clear area, save for a few stumps that are not long for this world.

The view from the newly cleared area looking back toward the Residence of Reilly.

The lone tree I plan to spare back here is this gloriously large Rhododendron at right.

The view of the new clearing from behind the Rhododendron.

The stately lilacs that line the east side of my property line.

My front entrance in the very early stages of its inevitable marvelosity.

A superb hydrangea I just added to the front yard.

Surely Something Marvelous Is At Hand

What marvelous beast slouches toward Bethlehem? Why it is this colossus, my spectacular climbing hydrangea.
